Wenatchee Fire FC to Broadcast Live from Bellingham
January 16, 2011 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Watertown Privateers News Release
Wenatchee Fire FC opened their season on the road this year against the Kitsap Pumas, and, as part of the Fire's increased commitment to fan entertainment, wvsportsplex.com was on the scene bringing to life the first-ever webcast for the local club. Because of that success, the club will carry Wenatchee's upcoming road match at WSA Rapids on January 22 on wvsportsplex.com. The webcast will begin at 6:50.
116 different viewers logged 83 viewer hours for an average of 35 viewers throughout the first broadcast in Fire history, headed by local performer and PA announcer Landyn Rookard.
"It was a great success and we cannot wait to further refine our technology for our next webcast," said Co-owner Albert Rookard.
Wenatchee Fire FC is currently 2-4, having won their previous home match against Snohomish Skyhawks and will return home Sunday, January 23rd to take on Mexican side Revolución Tijuana at the Sportsplex with a special start time of 3:05.
