Waterloo Black Hawks News Release

Waterloo, Iowa-The Waterloo Black Hawks are pleased to announce the addition of Adam Welp to the franchise's front office staff.

Welp officially joined the organization this month as Director of Corporate Sales. In that role, he will be primarily responsible for establishing, maintaining, and coordinating marketing partnerships between the Black Hawks and various members of the Cedar Valley business community. His past experience will also make him a vital contributor to the team's game night and graphic design operations.

"We are delighted to have someone we know step into this crucial position," said Waterloo Black Hawks President Doug Miller. "Adam's knowledge of so many areas essential to our success, made him an ideal candidate."

The Forest City, Iowa native was a member of the Black Hawks' game night operations staff from December of 2007 through April of 2009 while he was attending the University of Northern Iowa. He graduated from UNI later in the spring of 2009 with a degree in Graphic Communications. During the 2009-2010 hockey season, Welp worked for the North Iowa Outlaws hockey team in Mason City as that franchise's Director of Marketing and Sales.
