Wells Perfect So Far at World U17 Challenge

(Peterborough, ON, November 3, 2014)- The Peterborough Petes are proud to announce that each of its four representatives at the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge are performing well in preliminary game action.

Goalie Dylan Wells backstopped Team Canada Red to a 6-0 win on Sunday night, picking up a 14-save shut-out in the victory against Slovakia. Team-mate Matt Timms was impressive on defense, shutting down the European counter-parts, while Assistant Coach Andrew Verner has played a pivotal role behind the Red bench. Team Red is leading Russia by a score of 3-2 after two periods on Tuesday.

Petes centre Jonathan Ang put in a good showing with Team Canada White, who dropped their first game of the tournament on Sunday against Finland. He has scored a goal and an assist through two periods against Canada Black on Tuesday.
