
Wells makes changes before road trip

WINSTON-SALEM, N. C. â Winston-Salem Polar Twins Head Coach Bryan Wells announced today that he has traded Chad Brandimore to the Asheville Aces for future considerations. Also announced was the formal signing of forward Steve Lajoie, who finished his three-game tryout on Sunday against Fayetteville.
This season, Brandimore has compiled nine points (1 goal, 8 assists) and is tied for first in the SPHL with Polar Twins' defenseman Marcus Willy.
In three games this past weekend, Lajoie had one assist. In two seasons with the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, Lajoie had 155 points (66 goals, 79 assists) in 96 games for the Selkirk Steelers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
"Steve played well in the three games this weekend," says Coach Wells. "I expect he will continue to play well and to get even better as the season progresses."
