Buffalo Destroyers News Release

(BUFFALO, NY) – With just three months before kick off of the 2003 season, the Buffalo Destroyers launched their season ticket marketing campaign and new ticket pricing structure. The marketing campaign will be supported by a mass media campaign under the slogan ‘Welcome to the Show'.

The Arena Football League season begins on February 1st to complement the national television partnership with NBC. NBC will broadcast four games each week throughout the 2003 season, including four potential games featuring Buffalo.

"The partnership with NBC will provide unprecedented exposure and opportunity for the AFL," said Destroyers owner Mark Hamister. "The new schedule will also better accommodate the schedules of football fans throughout Western New York.

The Buffalo Destroyers also released a new pricing structure for 2003 season tickets. The team has moved from its old six-tier structure to a four-tier plan. Now, the front row is $40 per game, 100 level seats are $20 per game, 200 level seats are $15 per game and 300 level seats are $10 per game. The new ticket pricing allows Destroyers fans exciting new opportunities for flexible and simplified pricing.

"This new pricing was developed with input from our fans," said Hamister. "Our fans have asked us to simplify the pricing structure and provide more opportunity to sit close to the action. This new pricing will allow more fans to sit up close and personal in the seat that they prefer!

For just $160, fans can experience a full season of Destroyers football just rows from the field.

"Results to date with our current season ticket holders has been overwhelming," Hamister added. "Large quantities of our current customers have upgraded their seats since we first released this to them in a private offering. The front row has already sold out!

To support the new season, the Destroyers launched a mass media campaign titled ‘Welcome to the Show'. This campaign will reinforce the total entertainment of a Destroyers game, focusing on the family environment and affordability of Destroyers football. The campaign, developed by East Aurora based Cenergy Sports & Entertainment Marketing, will utilize television, radio, newspaper and direct mail.

Buffalo kicks the 2003 season at the HSBC Arena Saturday, February 1 against the Grand Rapids Rampage. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Season tickets are on sale now. Call 881-4444 today!
