Welcome Return of Familiar Faces to the Bombers Roster

Bryan-College Station, TX - Returning back for another season with the Bombers is Wharton County Junior College's Ryan Pehrson. Coming originally out of Southlake, Texas, the right handed pitcher looks to put up more stats for the Bombers this summer in his second season on the team. With 19 appearances this season for Wharton JC, Ryan impresses with averages of 7 strikeouts a game and no triples allowed this season. The Bombers are very excited to welcome this Northern Kentucky Commit back to the team this season.

The Bombers are excited to bring back Dalton LeBlanc, a 6 foot junior coming from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Playing 5 games for the Islanders this season with a season high game against Northwestern State, the team is excited to utilize his talent this summer. Previously at Paris Junior College, Dalton was an important piece of their team earning Region 14 North Second Team All-Conference and helping the team achieve their 2022 Conference Championship! With these impressive titles Dalton is sure to make a great impact on the team this season.

Next up, local Bryan, Texas native, Trent Thompkins is returning for his second season with the Bombers as he finishes his season at Lamar University! The 6-1 Right Handed Pitcher played 11 games for the Bombers last season helping the team by playing a major role in securing wins for the majority of those games! Although Trent hasn't been on the mound for the top 15 for ERA leading Lamar Cardinals this season, the team is very excited to welcome him back home this summer and see him improve his skills!

Hunter Mayo returns to the Bombers this summer after having a 1.98 ERA for the team in the 2022 season. Hunter played 10 games at top 2 Angelo State this season, logging a no runs allowed game against #8 ranked St. Edward's! The RHP also impressively recorded a 4 strikeout/5.2 IP game against St. Mary's this season. The Ruston, Louisiana native showed his talent in seven games for the bombers last season and is committed to adding many more this year!

Another Angelo State Ram returning to the Bombers this summer is LHP Austin Teel! Before taking his baseball career to ASU, Austin pitched in three games during his rookie season at Wake Forest where he stunned many by striking out a pair in his debut against Milwaukee! This incredible athlete allowed one run over 2.0 innings against No. 3 Louisville in the same rookie season! The College Station native was a star in highschool as well Reporting as a top-100 prospect from the state of Texas and to no surprise including a top-15 left-handed pitcher. Along with these rankings, Austin also earned all-tournament team honors at the 2018 WWBA 17U National Championship!

Lastly, the Bomber's are very glad to sign Chandler Benson back for the 2023 season! This Nebraska CornHusker from Frisco, Texas played 8 games for the Bombers last season aiding in several wins for the team! Although he didn't pitch for Nebraska this season, Benson displayed a lot of talent in the 2022 season making 15 relief appearances in his first season there along with 10 strikeouts in 12 innings. Along with these stats, Chandler skillfully pitched a season-high two innings against Rutgers with 2 strikeouts. Also impressive in highschool, the LHP recorded a 2.75 ERA and fanning 36 over 35.2 innings earning him second-team all-district honors in 2019. Upon graduating highschool Chandler was rated the No. 19 left-hander in the state of Texas by Perfect Game in the class of 2021!
