Matchup: The Musketeers and Lancers split their eight regular season meetings this year, with each winning three times on their home ice. Sioux City's lone win at Omaha came in the two team's most recent contest on April 10, when Chase Bradley scored the game-winning goal with less than a second remaining in overtime. This marks the fifth time that the two franchises have met in the playoffs since the Musketeers' victory over Omaha in the 2002 Clark Cup Finals. The two clubs last met in the postseason back in 2014 when the Musketeers eliminated Omaha in four games in the conference semifinals. Omaha's last postseason series victory over Sioux City occurred during the 2008 Western Conference semifinals.

About the Lancers: Like the Musketeers, Omaha enters the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the USHL, winning seven of their last ten games and picking up a point in each of their last seven contests. The Lancers won their last three regular season games and haven't suffered a loss in regulation since visiting the Tyson Events Center on March 28. Goaltender Jakub Dobes, a 2020 Montreal Canadians draft selection, has backstopped the team this season with a 2.48 goals against average (4th in the USHL) and a .908 save percentage (3rd in the USHL). Rookie forward Ayrton Martino ranks 8th in the league in total points (18-38-56) despite playing in just 38 games. He also checks in at fifth leaguewide in points per game (1.47) and total assists (38). Teammate Ryan Lautenbach's 39 assists are good for third-best in the USHL and Nolan Renwick has proven himself to be one of the most dangerous power play shooters this season, lighting the lamp a conference-best nine times on the man-advantage.
