Week 8 Game Preview: Arizona Rattlers (5-2) vs LA KISS (3-3)

Arizona Rattlers News Release

Phoenix, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers (5-2) dropped their second game in as many weeks on Saturday with the 65-58 loss to the Philadelphia Soul (6-1). Arizona now will return home to face conference rival LA KISS (3-3) this Saturday.

In light of the loss, two Rattlers have hit major career milestones on Saturday. Wide receiver Rod Windsor is now over 10,000 career receiving yards, and quarterback Nick Davila surpassed 700 career passing touchdowns and 10,000 career passing yards.

Despite the career numbers, several injuries sustained by the Rattlers defense took a toll Saturday night, and a late rally attempt by Arizona came up seven points short.

The Rattlers will now look ahead to this Saturdays matchup against the KISS, who will look to pull within one game of Arizona for the conference lead.

The KISS are coming off their bye week, and hope that the time off will allow them to be fresh for the upcoming game

LA's last game was against the winless Portland Steel, and it was anything but close. The KISS jumped to an early lead, and never slowed down. In the end LA won by 39 points (66-27).

The Rattlers have already faced LA once this season, back in week two. Arizona's defense held tough in that game, only allowing the KISS to score 7 points in the second half and won 69-21. Davila threw for five touchdowns in that game, and fullback Mykel Benson ran it in for three more.

The Rattlers will try to replicate their success from week two and get back in the win column on Saturday.

The game will be televised at 6:00 p.m. PDT on FOX Sports Arizona Plus, and can be streamed online on ESPN3.com or the WatchESPN app on a tablet, smartphone, or streaming device.
