Week 4 Vidswap.Com Players of the Week Announced

The Indoor Football League (IFL) is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Players of the Week for Week 4.

Offensive Player of the Week: Hunter Wanket (QB, Bemidji Axemen)

Hunter Wanket becomes the first player in Axemen history to earn player of the week honors. Wanket and the Axemen offense were clicking on all cylinders on Saturday night, outscoring the Wyoming Cavalry 92-49. The 92 points scored in the game was only 13 points shy of an IFL single game record (Sioux Falls, 105 in 2011). For the game, Wanket completed 13 of 21 passes for 226 yards and 6 TDs, adding 26 yards rushing an 3 scores on the ground. Just three games into the team's history and the Axemen are already turning heads around the League. The team is off to an impressive 2-1 start and will look to avenge their only loss of the season this weekend, at home against the Nebraska Danger.

Defensive Player of the Week: Jamar Love (DB, Nebraska Danger)

In what was supposed to be a heavyweight fight between two of the Intense Conference's best, the Nebraska Danger knocked out the Tri-Cities Fever by the score of 77-46. After jumping out to a 21-0 lead, the Danger never looked back as they cruised to an Intense Conference leading 3-1 record. The Danger defense stepped up in a big way, powered by a pair of game changing plays from DB Jamar Love. Love intercepted two passes, returning both for TDs. The returns covered 41 and 35 yards respectively. Love also registered 4 tackles during the game. The Danger head to Bemidji this weekend for a date with the Axemen.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Troy Evans (RB/KR, Nebraska Danger)

Troy Evans did it all for the Danger on Friday night against the Fever. This jack-of-all-trades athlete scored in three different facets of the game, rushing, receiving, and in the return game. For the game Evans covered 109 yards on 12 rushes (9.1 yards per carry) and 3 TDs. He caught 2 passes for 4 yards and a score, while also returning 3 kickoffs for 69 yards and a TD (50 yard return late in the 3rd quarter). Evans is proving to be one of the League's biggest offseason free agent additions.
