Weather Postpones Game
December 16, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Houston Takers News Release
The Houston Takers were to take on the West Texas Whirlwinds on December 14th and 15th and make an attempt to go over .500 for the first in franchise history. But two teams decided to postpone the games to later date in January due to the weather.
"Unfortunately the weather in that region didn't allow us to travel with the cold front coming through state. It was brought to my attention on Thursday afternoon that the weather may prevent us from traveling on Friday and immediately we called West Texas," stated Larry Leonard Houston Takers owner.
The dates will be announced later this month after the Houston Takers come back from Singapore this upcoming week. For more information please contact us at houstontakers@yahoo.com or voice mail at 877-407-1199 ext. 3.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
