Waza To Play Two This Weekend

November 18, 2010 - Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL)
Waza Flo News Release

(Detroit, MI-November 18, 2010) After dropping a heart-breaking 11-10 decision to the Ohio Vortex in Canton last Saturday night, the Detroit Waza will return to the indoor soccer field this weekend with a two game road swing, playing the Louisville Lightning tomorrow evening, and then on Saturday they will make the trip up I-75 to face the Cincinnati Kings.

The Lightning and Kings faced off in Louisville last Saturday night in both teams' opening game. The Kings, powered by a hat trick by Jeff Hughes, took home a 6-5 victory, sending home the sellout crowd of 1058 home depressed.

The Lightning were one of the top stories in the PASL last season, as in their first season, they would draw sellout crowds to their intimate arena, and finished in second place in the Eastern Division with an 11-5 record. The Kings, who played as the 1790 Cincinnati Express last season, moved into the legendary Cincinnati Gardens, long the home of minor league hockey and other events, for this season.

The Detroit Waza are charter members of the Professional Arena Soccer League, which is starting it's third season of play. The Waza will open the home portion of their 2010-11 schedule on Sunday, December 5th, when they will host the Cincinnati Kings at the Taylor Sportsplex at 4:30PM. For more information, visit the team's home page at www.wazafc.com/pasl or the PASL's official website at www.pasl-pro.com.
