
Wave Set to Celebrate 40 Years Saturday Night at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena

The 7-time champion Milwaukee Wave look toget back to their winning ways Saturday night at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena asthey welcome the Harrisburg Heat for the 40th anniversary celebration game.
"After snapping our winning streak and then going on a 2 game losing streak; we are treating this game as a must win," saidMilwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "Plus alumni night makes this extra special. It'll be great to see former wave players back in the arena. Our current players want to put a good show on for the players that put on the jersey before them and wore it with pride. We talked about that; our winning tradition and they eyes that will be on us; we're looking forward to a very exciting game."
Some of the confirmed Milwaukee Wave Alumni that will be in attendance are Keith Tozer, Dan Green, Michael King, Sinisa Alebic, Brian Loftin, Jason Willan, Jason Rienzi, Todd Dusosky, Ted Storm, John Vojta, Charlie Cook, Hayden Knight and more.
"It's exciting and we are looking forward to a lot of things for Saturday," added Oliviero. "That includes the return of MaxFerdinand to the team."
Ferdinand makes his return after two seasons with Baltimore and one with St. Louis. Max last played in Milwaukee between2015-2020 and during that time played in 99 games, scored 84 goals with 134 assists for a total of 218 points.
"He's already making a difference at practice and they young guys are learning from him," exclaimed Oliviero. "His (Ferdinand) patience, calmness and ability to see the field during the chaos. He's got such a unique composure in what is a very fast game; I'm hoping that's one of the many things the guys can learn from him. Great to have him back."
