Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (April 12, 2008) - The Milwaukee Wave's MISL Semifinal matchup was solidified Saturday, when third-seeded Baltimore completed a 2-0 sweep of sixth-seeded New Jersey in the quarterfinal round.
Game 1 of the two-game semifinal series will be at 6 p.m. CST Wednesday, April 16 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore. Milwaukee hosts Game 2 at 2 p.m. CST Sunday, April 20 at U.S. Cellular Arena. If the teams split the two games, a next-goal-wins tiebreaker will be played immediately following Game 2. Baltimore won two of three games with Milwaukee during the regular season, with the home team taking every game. The Blast won 13-8 in the Wave's season opener on Oct. 27, and 12-7 on Jan. 25. Milwaukee's 16-12 victory on Feb. 15 started the Wave on a stretch of seven wins in eight games to close out the season. Milwaukee will leave Tuesday night for Baltimore and return Thursday morning. Practice is scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Uihlein Soccer Park, 7101 W. Good Hope Road, and is open to the media. The remainder of the week's practice schedule will be announced.
