Wave selects six in 2006 MISL College Draft

MILWAUKEE, WI (March 8, 2005) - Milwaukee Wave Vice President of Soccer Operations and Head Coach Keith Tozer announced today the team's six selections in the 2006 MISL College Draft.

Milwaukee's six selections (in the order they were selected) included Neil Dombrowski (midfielder, UW-Milwaukee), Danny Wynn (midfielder, St. Louis University), John Krause (forward, Vanderbilt University), Ryan McMahen (midfielder, Michigan State), Todd Dohlman (goalkeeper, UMKC) and Andrew Larracuente (defender, Medaille College). The team passed on its final selection (also the draft's final selection) and has until Monday to make the pick.

"We're excited about the group of players that we drafted," Tozer said. "I think all of these athletes have tremendous potential and I look forward to having them in camp next season."

Dombrowski is the brother of current Milwaukee Wave defender, Chad Dombrowski. Neil started in 18 of the 20 games he appeared in with UW-Milwaukee in 2004 and picked up 11 points. He is the fourth member of the Dombrowski family to be drafted by the Wave. Scott was selected in 2000, Chad in 2003, Tighe in 2004 and Neil this season.

The Milwaukee Wave was established in 1984 as one of six charter members of the American Indoor Soccer Association (AISA). In 2001, the Wave transitioned to being a successful member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Through the guidance of head coach Keith Tozer, the winningest coach in Wave and North American indoor soccer history, the Wave has won four league titles (1997-98, 1999-00, 2000-01, 2004-05), seven regular season championships, and has made seven championship series appearances.
