
Wave host clinic at Timber Rattlers game

MILWAUKEE (May 30, 2009) - Baseball and soccer come together on Aug. 23 when the Milwaukee Wave host a soccer clinic in the outfield of Appleton's Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium prior to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers' Midwest League game against Cedar Rapids.
Every child who participates in a Wave Summer Soccer Camp during the month of July receives a free ticket to the Sunday afternoon game at the home park of the Class A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. All kids are invited to participate in the clinic with Wave players to be named from 11 a.m. to noon, with first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
Fox Cities Stadium is one of the best Class A facilities in the country, opening in 1995. Top major league players such as Alex Rodrigues and Felix Hernandez have played in Appleton. The team switched affiliation to the Brewers before the 2009 season.
