Wave Eager to Snap Skid against St. Louis Friday Night
December 14, 2023 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
After suffering a heartbreaking overtime loss last week against the Monterrey Flash, the 7-time Champion Milwaukee Wave are looking to bounce back Friday night at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena against the St. Louis Ambush at 6:35pm CT.
"We are still finding ourselves as a team and are looking for a statement game this Friday," said Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "For us as a team our run of play has been good defensively but offensively we are still figuring out how to gel together. We'll get there."
Through three games this 23/24 season, six Wave players have been putting up points on the board; #15 Cesar Correa, #22 Breno Oliveira, #7 Ricardo Carvalho, #9 Derek Huffman, #10 Mario Alvarez and #26 Ian Bennett.
"St. Louis has the players to get the job done and they are hungry for their first win," added Oliviero. "The quicker we can take their belief away; the more confidence we can gain as a team moving forward."
