
Wave Aim to Continue Win Streak at Home

The Wave (7-2) will host the Wichita Wings (5-6) for their annual New Year's Eve game at 2 p.m. and then face Syracuse (5-9) on January 5th at 6:00 p.m. The Wave come home after road wins at Syracuse and Rochester this past week bringing their winning streak to six games.
The Wave's Luan Oliveira continues to lead the Wave with 24 points after scoring three goals and two assists is the game at Rochester last week. Since coming off the injured reserve Marcio Leite has continued where the 2012 MISL Championship Series MVP left off last year. Leite is currently second for the Wave is scoring with contributing eight points on the last road trip. Goalkeepers, Nick Vorberg and Marcel Feenstra, are leading the Wave's defense and MISL as both are in the top three in save percentages for the MISL.
The Wings defeated the Soul 18-10 on Saturday as Wichita's team captain, Freddy Moojen, had four goals while Tiguinho recorded three goals and an assist. The Wings goalkeeper had 23 saves in the goal. The Wings travel to Milwaukee with three consecutive wins and look for revenge against the earlier season 4-12 loss to the Wave.
Syracuse has lost their last three games and will face Chicago prior to coming to Milwaukee on January 5th. The last time the teams played the Wave held off a late game charge by the Lancers to win 14-12. Lancer's Doug Miller continues to lead the MISL with 54 points.
