FishSticks Millwork Offensive Player of the Week - Zach Sanford
With goals in both weekend games, Sanford helped Waterloo to a pair of road wins. The New York Islanders' draft pick was also +1.
Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Mark Friedman
Still the USHL's highest-scoring defenseman, Friedman had an assist in each game Waterloo played last week, with a team-leading +2 plus/minus rating.
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Jake Horton
Horton delivered three assists - all during Black Hawks power plays - on Friday in Lincoln. He was also busy with penalty killing assignments.
Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Mathias Israelsson
In his first regular season appearance Saturday, Israelsson back-stopped the Black Hawks to a victory, making 26 saves in regulation and overtime, then stopping three Tri-City shootout attempts.
