Rockford, Ill. - As the 2013-14 season is about get underway in the National Hockey League and American Hockey League, the Rockford IceHogs are offering fans a chance to win tickets to see their NHL affiliate and defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks open the season at the United Center.
All fans that purchase tickets to see the first IceHogs home game at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday, Oct. 19 will automatically be entered to win a pair of tickets to watch the Blackhawks begin their quest to defend the cup on Tuesday, Oct. 1. All IceHogs season ticket holders and fans that previously purchased tickets to the home opener are also included.
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks will have a special pre-game banner raising ceremony before they drop the puck at 7 p.m. against the Washington Capitals.
The Hogs begin the 2013-14 campaign on the road before returning to the BMO Harris Bank Center to host the Grand Rapids Griffins for the home opener on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. The first 5,000 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs 2013-14 calendar compliments of Stateline Staffing Services.
