
Bears Release 2013 Training Camp Roster

HERSHEY, Pa. - The Hershey Bears announced today the full roster of players expected to participate in the club's 2013 training camp. The announcement was made by Bears President/GM Doug Yingst.
All players who cleared their physicals on Monday or previously at NHL camp are eligible for Bears training camp. A total of 42 players are expected to participate, with some still remaining with the Washington Capitals.
The roster consists of the following players and is current as of Tuesday morning, September 24:
GOALTENDERS (4): Brandon Anderson, Riley Gill, David Leggio, Matt Tendler
DEFENSEMEN (13): Mike Banwell, Julien Brouillette, Erik Burgdoerfer, Connor Carrick, Brett Flemming, Chay Genoway, Ryan Kavanagh, David Kolomatis, Bryant Molle, Cameron Schilling, Nate Schmidt, Tyson Strachan, Patrick Wellar

Following three days of practice, the Utica Comets will visit GIANT Center on Friday, September 27 at 7:00 PM to play the Bears on the beginning of the club's weekend pre-season schedule of games. The Bears and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will then match up in a home-and-home set on Saturday, September 28 at 7:00 PM at GIANT Center, and on Sunday, September 29 at 5:05 PM at Mohegan Sun Arena. The camp wraps up with a practice and off-ice workout on Monday, September 30.
The 2013 training camp, led by new Bears head coach Mike Haviland, new assistant coach Ryan Mougenel and Reading Royals head coach Larry Courville, includes on-ice practice sessions, off-ice workouts and fitness testing, group meetings, and a three-game pre-season slate. All on-ice practices are tentatively scheduled to be held beginning at HERSHEYPARK Arena and later at GIANT Center. All practices are free and open to the public.
