
Wassermann Going Back To The Windy City

FORT MILL, S.C.- Prior to today's game vs. Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Ehren Wassermann from Class AAA Charlotte. Wasserman is the first Charlotte Knight to be called up to Chicago this season.
Wassermann, 27, has gone 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA (7.2 IP) and six saves in eight relief appearances with Charlotte this season. He ranks third in the International League in saves and has not allowed a base hit this season (24 batters faced).
The 6-foot-0, 185-pound right-hander split the 2007 season between the Knights and White Sox, going 1-1 with a 2.74 ERA (7 ER/23.0 IP) in 33 appearances with Chicago. He limited right-handers to a .174 (12-69) average, seventh-best among American League relievers.
The Chicago White Sox optioned pitcher Mike MacDougal to Class AAA Charlotte. MacDougal, 31, is 0-0 with a 2.08 ERA (2 ER/8.2 IP) and eight hits allowed in eight relief appearances with the White Sox this season. The right-hander also walked seven and registered seven strikeouts.
