Washington Stealth News Release
Everett, Wash. - The Washington Stealth has announced today that forward Cam Sedgwick has re-signed after missing last week's game in Toronto. The team has also announced that forward Cliff Smith will be placed on the injured reserve list. Both moves are pending approval by the National Lacrosse League.
Sedgwick, an assistant captain for the Stealth, was unable to play last game and was subsequently released to allow the team to make an addition to its injury-riddled active roster. He has re-signed with the team and is expected to be in the lineup for the home-and-home series against the West Division-leading Colorado Mammoth on March 10 and 11. Sedgwick has appeared in seven games this season, recording six goals and ten assists for 16 points.
Smith is the latest member of the Stealth to be bitten by the injury bug, sustaining an upper body injury last week in Toronto. Smith's stint on the injured reserve is retroactive to Saturday, making him eligible to return to the Stealth lineup on April 14. Smith has three goals and four assists in seven games this season.
The Stealth faces the Colorado Mammoth twice this weekend, traveling to Denver on Saturday night before returning home to the Comcast Arena on Sunday. Sunday's game is scheduled to begin at 4:45pm PST.
Tickets for the game, which is entitled "Mascot Madness" as it features a number of mascots from around the area, start at just $7 and are available by calling 877-MY-75-TIX or at www.stealthlax.com.
