OKLAHOMA CITY, OK - The Oklahoma Warriors defeated the Shreveport Mudbugs 6-0 on a wild Friday night of hockey. Billy Stuski picked up his 3rd shutout in 5, yes 5, games, including his second against Shreveport this season. He stopped all 35 shots he faced. Offensively, it was all clicking for Oklahoma. New Warrior, Chance Burlison (3), who arrived on Wednesday from the USHL's Sioux Falls Stampede, scored the first hat trick in over a year for Oklahoma. He finished with 4 points, 3 goals and 1 assist. In addition to Burlison's tremendous contribution, Jakub Bednarik (1) picked up his first goal of the season on a blistering shot that beat the Mudbug netminder Hodges through the pads. Ben Likness (5) and Kyle Sorensen (4) also lit the lamp for Oklahoma tonight, both on the powerplay. While Oklahoma dominated on both sides of the puck, the game didn't go without some shenanigans after the whistle. 5 fights took place tonight, with several players ejected from both sides. In total, over 150 penalty minutes were attributed to the teams. Ethan Gonyeau had a 3 point night with 3 assists, and Bronson Sabol, the Warriors first round draft pick in the 2025 draft, picked up 2 points on 2 assists as well.

Overall, it was a terrific night for Oklahoma Hockey and the Warriors will look for the sweep tomorrow night at 7pm against the very same Mudbugs. It will be the final time Shreveport plays in OKC this season. As always, the game will be streamed live on NATV and audio only via Youtube live.
