ALUMNI WEEKEND ONLY DAYS AWAY    All the fun starts Friday at 6:00 pm at the Heritage Inn, when Theoren Fleury and Scott Thomas will be  inducted into the Warriors and Legends Hall of Fame.  Along with the two hockey inductees, the Warriors  Booster Club will be honoured in the "Builders" category.  Tickets are still available for $60.00.     The day after the banquet, the Warriors will be hosting a golf tournament at the Lynbrook Golf Course.   Cost is only $150.00 per person or a team for $500 (Includes green fees, power cart, supper, entry gift and  prizes.  The day begins with an 11:30 pm registration and 1:00 pm tee off.      The following current players scheduled to play:

Derek Kletzel    Attendees also have a chance to meet the Warriors new Director of Hockey Operations, Alan Millar and  Assistant Coach Trevor Weisgerber.  Call 694‐5711 to register-registration forms are available at the  Lynbrook as well.      PUSHING FOR A ROSTER SPOT    Next Wednesday the Warriors will be back on the ice in the Civic Center for summer camp.  The Moose  Jaw Warriors are always looking ahead to the years to come, making sure the right players are progressing  and moving ahead at a steady pace to ensure a constant crop of talent.  The Warriors only carried one 16  year old last season.  Joey Kornelsen is the only returning 1993 born roster player.  As any 16 year old,  Joey faced many challenges coming into his first WHL season.     "Any 16 year old that plays in the WHL has a steep learning curve, especially on the defensive side of the  puck," said Warriors Head Coach Dave Hunchak.  "Joey put a lot of work in over last season to improve his  game and will be asked to contribute more on the offensive side all while continuing to be solid behind his  side of center ice," added Hunchak.    Joey Kornelsen and nearly every player attending camp in August are directly targeted by the Warriors  scouting crew.  "The Warriors scouting staff lead by Director of Scouting Rob MacLachlan has done a  tremendous job stocking the cupboards of future prospects," said Hunchak.  With Jason Bast, Cody Smuk  and Ryan Stanton unable to return and 6 returning twenty year olds, with only a spot for three of them- many of these prospects have a good chance to break into the line‐up.  Let's take a look at possible roster  contenders for this season.     Goaltenders  Adam Clark was a 2008 Bantam Draft Pick.  Adam spent the last few seasons with the Sherwood Park  Kings. "He is a big, athletic goaltender with the potential to be a tremendous player," commented Dave.   Brandon Stone is smaller in stature, yet the Warriors have high hopes for Stone.  "Brandon is a quick  goaltender who is positionally  sound," added Hunchak.     Defence  Leading the way among prospects is Morgan Reilly.  If he would have been old enough, many players on  last year's team felt Morgan could have easily held down a roster spot.  Morgan won the Telus Cup with  the Notre Dame Hounds in 2010.  "Morgan is smart, skilled and skates very well," said the Head Coach.   Joel Edmundson is poised to make this year's team.  "Joel is a big d‐man that moves pretty well-he will  make a serious push for a roster spot," said Dave.     Travis Brown looked good at spring camp and will look to continue that success into summer camp in the  coming week.  Shayne Gwinner was drafted in 2009 and played last season in the AMJHL.  "Shayne has  skill and skates well, he will need to separate himself from the other young defensemen," said Coach  Hunchak.     Forwards  Sam Fioretti is a right winger looking to crack the roster.  "Sam had an excellent camp last year, he has  skill and the intelligence to be an exciting player," commented Hunchak.  Zane Weal, originally from  Assiniboia, played with the AAA Warriors as a Warriors 2007 Bantam draft pick. "He is skilled and  determined, yet needs to prove to himself he can be a Warrior," said Hunchak on Weal.  Jordan Wyton is  a left winger, standing in at 6'1", Wyton is a character player with a great shot at filling an opening for the  tribe. "He is a big winger that will give you everything each and every shift," said Dave.    Preston Admundson was acquired by the Moose Jaw Warriors from the Swift Current Broncos in July for  Matthew Franzcyk.  "Preston could be the fastest player at camp," remarked Hunchak.  Michal Hlinka is  the Warriors Import Draft selection for the 2010/11 season, after releasing a young Jakub Herman the  Warriors have space for one more import alongside Antonin Honejsek. Michal is the grandson of the great  hockey legend Ivan Hlinka.  "The reports on him are that he is skilled and plays very hard.  His father is still  playing professionally," said Hunchak.      Seventeen year old Matthew Grant is a listed player with the tribe.  "Matt was a great find by our  scouting staff; he had a great prospects camp and will push hard for a spot this year," added Hunchak.  AJ  Johnson spent the last few seasons with the Saskatoon Contacts, as a Warriors 2009 Bantam pick; AJ has a  good combination of talent and drive. "He has a touch around the net and is a determined player that  wills his way," said Dave.     CAMP SCHEDULE

                                           BRODZIAK CUP (BLACK AND WHITE GAME) 7:00pm      SEASON TICKET HOLDER BBQ    Join the Warriors at Connor's Park on September 5th  from 5:15‐8:00 for a BBQ.  All season ticket holders  will have a FREE ticket in their ticket package.  Non‐season ticket holders can come out and meet the  entire 2010‐11 team and have supper for only $5.00.  Stay tuned for a few more surprise announcements  regarding the BBQ!     SEASON TICKETS STILL RISING    The Warriors still have their sight set on  reaching 2,200 SEASON TICKETS and have a  great incentive for those fans still debating  season tickets.  Now, with any purchase of an  adult season ticket at the regular $420.00  (+GST) price, purchasers will receive their  choice of a Reebok Jersey T‐shirt with Howden,  McIlrath or retro Brouwer across the back.   After a great response to the Warriors season ticket promotion, offering 10/11 season tickets for only  $350, the team is pleased to announce they have beat their previous season ticket holder record by  selling 2,153 season tickets.
