
T-Birds Announce 2010-11 Training Camp Schedule

Kent,August 17, 2010 - The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce their Training Camp schedule for the 2010-11 season.
T-Birds Training Camp opens with Prospects Camp on Thursday, August 26. The first Prospects Camp scrimmage will be on Thursday, August 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 pm. at ShoWare Center.
Prospects Camp continues on Friday, August 27, with two scrimmages. The first scrimmage is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at ShoWare Center. The second scrimmage is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Kent Valley Ice Centre.
Prospects Camp concludes on Saturday, August 28, with one scrimmage. This scrimmage will take place at ShoWare Center from 10 a.m. to noon.
T-Birds Main Training Camp begins on Saturday, August 28. Main Camp will consist of three scrimmages and two practice sessions.
The three scrimmages are from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at ShoWare Center on Saturday, August 28, Sunday, August 29 and Monday, August 30.
There will be two practice sessions on Sunday and Monday mornings at ShoWare Center. Each practice session will be approximately three hours in length and will consist of two separate on-ice player groups. The practice sessions are slated to begin at approximately 9 a.m.
All scrimmages and practices at Prospect Camp and Main Camp are open to the public. Fans attending any of the scrimmages or practices should enter ShoWare Center from the east side of the building. The Hockey Store will also be open during all training camp scrimmages.
The Thunderbirds have a eight-game preseason schedule. They will play three games at the Everett Silvertips preseason tournament at Comcast Arena. The T-Birds play the Portland Winterhawks on Friday, September 3, at 11:30 a.m., the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday, September 4, at 11:30 a.m. and the Silvertips on Sunday, September 5, at 7 p.m.
The T-Birds will then travel to Kennewick for three games at the Red Lion Hotels' Preseason Tournament at the Toyota Center. On Thursday, September 9, the T-Birds will face the Silvertips at 3 p.m., the Kootenay Ice at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 10 and the Lethbridge Hurricanes at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 11.
The T-Birds head back up to Everett to take on the Silvertips on Friday, September 17, at 7:35 at Comcast Arena.
The exhibition schedule ends on Saturday, September 18, when the T-Birds host the Portland Winterhawks at 7:05 p.m. at ShoWare Center.
The T-Birds will open the regular season against the Everett Silvertips on Friday, September 24 at Comcast Arena in Everett at 7:35pm. The T-Birds will hold their home opener on Saturday, September 25 at 7:05p.m. against long time rival, the Portland Winterhawks. The T-Birds will wrap up their opening weekend in Kennewick against the Tri-City Americans on Sunday, September 26, at 5p.m. at the Toyota Center.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2010-11 season will go on sale on Wednesday, August 25, at 10 a.m. online on the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office.
T-Birds season tickets are currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds office at 253-239-7825.
