Oklahoma Warriors News Release

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - The Oklahoma Warriors suffered a pair of losses to the Lone Star Brahmas at Blazers Ice Centre on Friday and Saturday.

Lone Star defeated the Warriors 3-1 and 9-2 on Friday and Saturday, respectively. With those results, the two teams split the head-to-head series with four wins each.

The losses came despite the Warriors outshooting the defensively-stingy Brahmas by double-digits in both games. Shots favored Oklahoma 70-45 in the weekend set.

William Ahlrik opened the scoring on Friday night and finished with the best stat line for Oklahoma on the weekend: two goals and one assist. Landon Fleming scored on Saturday night. Carter Sproule picked up two assists, one in each game.

Even with the setback, the Warriors' record since January 1 is a stellar 9-3 and the team is comfortably in playoff position. Fourth position, which would give Oklahoma the opportunity to host a first-round playoff series, is only six points away with 17 games remaining.

Oklahoma travels to Greeley, Colo. for their only trip north of the season on Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17. The Warriors face the Grit and fans can watch the action live on www.NAHLTV.com.

The Warriors begin a five-game homestand on Friday, February 23 against the Shreveport Mudbugs at Blazers Ice Centre. Puck drop is at 7:15 p.m. Secure your seats to see Oklahoma's Championship Hockey Team in action at www.oklahomawarriors.com/tickets.
