PHILADELPHIA PA - It was a record-setting night in the City of Brotherly Love as the Vancouver Warriors started out quick and put the peddle down, scoring a Warriors team record 21 goals in a 21-12 rout of the Philadelphia Wings before 8737 disappointed fans at Wells Fargo Arena.

Keegan Bal was a scoring machine on this night. The Coquitlam BC product scored a team-record eight goals on the evening, including seven in the second half, to go along with five assists for a thirteen-point evening. Port Moody resident Riley Loewen had a career night of his own as well, potting three goals and adding seven assists for ten points, his first ten-spot in the NLL in his 165th career game.

Other Warriors scoring on this historic night; Ryan Martel with 4 goals and three assists for seven points, Adam Charalambides didn't light the lamp, but he hit for seven assists. Kevin Crowley, Kyle Killen, Brad McCulley, Owen Grant, veteran Ryan Dilks with his first as a Warrior and Maple Ridge rookie Brayden Laity scored his first NLL goal to round out the scorers.

Aden Walsh picked up his third win of the season, turning aside 34 shots in the victory.

"The guys were dialed in, we were in a historic place to play as Philadelphia has a rich history here, and I was happy that our team started on time tonight," stated GM and Head Coach Curt Malawsky. "It was important that we played well for sixty minutes and didn't limp our way home to a win. The players came ready to play and we showed our dominance.

On Keegan Bal, "I think Keegan is the player that shows our team and fans that honest effort equals honest results. He puts in the time at the gym before heading off to a full day of work and he's taking shots every day, working on his own film, he puts in the work. Bal is an ultimate pro and a student of the game...he is a pleasure to coach.

Since the Vancouver Warriors moved downtown in 2018, no Warriors team has scored more than 19 goals, which happened twice, on April 14, 2019, in a 19-12 victory over the same Philadelphia Wings franchise that was defeated tonight, and again on January 14, 2023, when the Warriors took down the Las Vegas Desert Dogs 19-16.

Until tonight, no Warriors team has ever scored more than 16 goals on the road.

With the victory, Vancouver has now won three of their past four games and have closed the distance to the final playoff berth in the NLL standings to just 1 ½ games with four games still left to play. Next up for the Warriors, a date in Sin City with the Las Vegas Desert Dogs on Saturday night, April 30th.
