Rickey Henderson led off the bottom half of the 1st inning with a home run to left field after having not played the past nine days. Henderson finished the game 2-3 at the plate.
Bears' right fielder Wil Quintana stroked a two out, two run triple in the 4th inning to put the Bears up 3-0. All told the Bears had seven hits off of losing pitcher Mark Nussbeck (0-1), who also pitched a complete game.
