
Wafer Re-Assigned to Flyers

GREENVILLE, S.C., April 12 -- The Los Angeles Lakers have re-assigned Von Wafer to the Fort Worth Flyers of the NBA Development League.
Wafer was initially assigned to Fort Worth on February 27, 2006. The 6-5 guard out of Florida State played in eight games for the Flyers averaging 8.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 17.9 minutes before being recalled back to Los Angeles on March 22, 2006.
Wafer was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft with the 39th pick overall. He has appeared in 16 games, averaging 1.3 points and 0.5 rebounds in 4.6 minutes.
He will be in a Flyers uniform Saturday when Fort Worth is host to the Roanoke Dazzle in the semi-final round of the 2006 NBA Development League Championship presented by Delta Air Lines. Tip off is 7 p.m. CT at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
