Waco Welcomes Wranglers

Waco, TX. The ABA Waco Wranglers are ready to make Waco sports history as the 2006-2007 basketball season rolls around. Over 150 men have tried out for the Wranglers and the final cut has been determined. They will sign their first player on Thursday. The team is coached by Ozzie Denson and Toni Oppliger.

"We are getting excited for the upcoming season," Coach Toni said. "The team is really starting to come together and it's looking great!:" The Wranglers will play all pre-season games at Texas State Technical College of Waco, their official practice site. All regular season games will take place at Reicher High School in the Deering Center. The Wranglers are among 30 teams that were added to the ABA for the upcoming season. There are now over 60 teams in the ABA.

"The Waco Wrangers will provide cost-efficient, fan-friendly and fast-paced professional basketball for the community of Waco," said Coach Denson. "The Wrangers are part of the White Division (Central) and we will be very competitive. You can count on it."
