Great Falls Voyagers News Release

Great Falls, Mont. - The White Sox announced a pair of roster moves this afternoon affecting the Great Falls Voyagers roster. The first move saw right-handed reliever Brad Salgado promoted to Low-A Kannpolis for the first time in his career, and to replace him on the roster the Voyagers received lefty Devon Davis from the AZL White Sox.

Salgado went 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA in three outings for the Voyagers this season, striking out 12 in seven innings. He struck out a career-high seven in three scoreless frames of work at Missoula on June 20, earning the first save of his professional career. He collected his lone win of 2014 in his most recent outing against Helena on June 26. The infielder turned pitcher now becomes the second 2014 Voyager to earn a promotion to Kannapolis after lefty Jeff McKenzie was promoted last week.

Taking Salgado's spot on the roster is Devon Davis who comes to Great Falls after pitching twice for the AZL White Sox this season. In those two outings, the southpaw did not surrender a run in three and two-thirds innings, and struck out eight with zero walks and just two hits allowed. The Mason City, Ohio, native joined the organization when he was signed as a free agent back in May.
