GF DROPS SLUGFEST

Great Falls and Missoula combined for nine homers Wednesday night, as the Osprey beat the Voyagers for the second straight day 10-9. After building an early 8-1, Missoula saw Great Falls begin to crawl their way back into it in the fifth when Chevy Clarke and Mason Robbins hit solo homers. The Voyagers scored eight runs over the final five frames, including a pinch-hit two-run shot from Louie Lechich in the ninth, but saw their comeback attempt fall a run short.

GONE FISHIN'

Although outfielder Zach Fish had his streak of four consecutive games with a homer come to an end last night, he did manage another multi-hit effort, going 2-3 with an RBI and a pair of runs scored. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy has now put together multiple hits in each of his last six games (12-21), helping to raise his average 75 points to .259 over the last five days.

DIGGIN' THE LONG BALL

With four homers last night, Great Falls now has 12 in this series which has boosted their team total to 47, the most in the league. The Voyagers have now hit at least one home run in ten straight games, with 22 long balls hit over that span. Dillon Haupt and Zach Fish have each been a huge part of this recent power surge, each hitting four during this span. After his fifth inning dinger last night, Chevy Clarke has now homered in two straight and leads Great Falls with a team-high nine homers.

STONE-ING THE OPPOSITION

Dane Stone will be on the bump tonight for the Voyagers, having won three of his last four starts and boasting the league's top ERA at 2.08. The two-time PL Pitcher of the Week has faced the Osprey twice, giving up an unearned run in five and a third innings while earning the win on June 19, and a no decision on June 29 that saw him give up two runs with seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
