
Vote to Name the Phantoms' Mascot

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (September 8, 2009) - After hundreds of fan submissions, the Youngstown Phantoms' new purple dragon mascot is one big step closer to finding a name.
Thanks in large part to Phantoms fans across the continent, the five finalists in the Name the Mascot contest have been chosen. The names are listed below along with the first person to suggest them:
Sparky - David Beck (North Lima, Ohio)
Scorch - Charlotte Lee (East Palestine, Ohio)
Phlames - Ryan Demyen (Hubbard, Ohio)
Deke - Nathan Knaus (Boardman, Ohio)
Slasher - Andrea Sage (Canfield, Ohio)
Visit www.youngstownphantoms.com to vote for your favorite name out of the final five.
Following the voting process, whomever submitted the winning name will receive two Orange Level flex plan ticket packages for the 2009-10 USHL season (10 undated vouchers each - a value of $220), a Phantoms merchandise prize package, a special meet-and-greet with the mascot, and on Opening Night, Oct. 3, the fortunate individual will be recognized and introduced along with the mascot in front of thousands of Phantoms fans.
Voting will end Thursday, Sept. 17, with the winning entry announced Friday, Sept. 18.
