There's a couple of things about people from New Orleans...that NO MATTER WHAT, you can take to the bank! First, they LOVE their football! And second, they love to eat good food! Some of the best recipes known to man came right out of our beautiful city. But those recipes took a little time and had to go through a few adjustments before they became what they are today.
That's where we are today with the New Orleans VooDoo. New Orleans football fans want to win...and you deserve a winning team! And that's why we're making some adjustments to our "recipe" this week. We want to offer you a team that's "JUST RIGHT" this week...and for the rest of the season.
When you come to the game against the Arizona Rattlers this Friday night, you're going to see a new face in the Quarterback position. But, he's not a new face to Arena Football! D Bryant joined the team last week, and was inactive for VooDoo loss versus the Tulsa Talons last Friday night.
The Detroit, Mich. native is an AFL veteran quarterback with five years of arena football experience to his credit. In fact, Bryant was named to the All-Arena Rookie Team in 2008 with the Kansas City Brigade, tossing 40 touchdowns and completing 67.8 percent of his passes in just 10 games. He also had 2,338 yards passing and 152 yards rushing.
Bryant was a three-year letter winner at Duke University, starting two seasons at quarterback for the Blue Devils.
Kickoff versus the Arizona Rattlers (7-2) is set for 7:05 p.m. in The Graveyard and WE NEED YOU THERE! This is our second home game to be aired live on the NFL Network and, we need the rowdiest crowd in the AFL to be there with flying colors! Let's send the Rattlers back west with another loss under theiir belt...and let's cheer the VooDoo to their first HOME WIN of the season!
