
Preds QB Nick Hill Named AFL Offensive Player of Week

Orlando Predators second-year quarterback Nick Hill (6-3, 215, Southern Illinois) was named Arena Football League's Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Hill led the Preds on Saturday by completing 23 of 29 passes for 367 yards and six touchdowns in a 56-26 win over the Cleveland Gladiators.
Hill joins Rayshaun Kizer (Week 3), Robert Quiroga (Week 3), Marlon Moye-Moore (Week 4), Paul Griffin (Week 5) and Josh Bush (Week 8) as weekly award winners in 2011.
Through nine games, Hill stands atop the AFL in total offense per game (329.4 yards), is third in passing average per game (302.8 yards) and third in passing efficiency (120.6). Entering Week 11, Hill has tossed 52 touchdowns and ran for nine more scores.
