
VooDoo continue to build for 2005 season

New Orleans VooDoo News Release
The New Orleans VooDoo continued their off-season task of improving the depth of their team for the 2005 campaign. The club announced the re-signing of FB/LB Jason Bratton and the signing of OL/DL Brook Miller. The VooDoo also increased their depth at the offensive specialist position behind starter Aaron Bailey, agreeing to terms with Jerel Myers.
· Bratton (6-0, 250, Grambling) returns to the VooDoo after finishing as the team's second leading rusher with 23 carries for 44 yards and four touchdowns, while adding 15.5 tackles on defense in 11 games. Bratton is a seven-year AFL veteran who signed with New Orleans prior to the team's third game of the season on February 21.
· Miller (6-4, 295, San Diego State) was a two-year starter at defensive tackle for San Diego State, recording 57 tackles, 10 tackles for a loss, six sacks and three fumble recoveries. As a senior in 2003, Miller recorded 29 tackles, four tackles for a loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery.
· Myers (5-10, 179, LSU) comes after spending the majority of the 2003 season on the practice squad of the Buffalo Bills. Myers also went to training camp with the Bills in 2004. Myers was a four-year starter at Louisiana State from 1999-2002 and ranked fourth in school history with 149 catches and is eighth in the LSU career record books with 1,843 yards receiving.
