Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA co-Founder, announced today that a team spearheaded by owner and former Fresno State basketball player Dominick Young will play 36 home and away games this season. "We are aware of the late change but this is a good organization with a good team and we feel they can do it."
Standouts such as Chris Jeffries, Shannon Swillis, Randy Holcomb and Anthony Peele have joined the roster of the newest ABA team that will be coached by Gerald Perry.
"We are looking forward to having a very exciting season that will bring affordable family entertainment and exceptional athletic talent to the valley, "Young said. "This is an opportunity for fans to enjoy players that have strong ties to the area. We want to rejuvenate the community's interest in local sporting events. The team has been practicing; we are very competitive and are pleased to have this opportunity."
