
Seris win pair of tune-up games

Hermosillo, MX. Carlos Thomas, Owner/GM of the ABA Hermosillo Seris declared his team "ready to compete in the regular season with two wins over a very strong traveling team for Los Angeles, the LA Stars Hoopology. Tough games both, but we won - and are confident."
The opening game was a high scoring Hermosillo 141 to 128 victory and the second game was the same, 139 to 134.
Hermosillo was led in Game 1 by Jamie Booker with 38 points, Jermaine Slider with 28 points, Andre Jackson with 23 and Randy Kelly and Jimmi RainWater with 20 each. In the second game, Hermosillo had 37 from RainWater, 30 from Book, 23 from Slider and 17 from Jackson.
LA was led by Tyrone Merriweather with 25, Darwin Carter with 23 and ex-NBA star Cedric Ceballos with 21 in the first game, and by Ceballos 32, Dion Bailey 30 and Carter's 19 in the second game.
