Vipers To Hold Second Tryout

Huntsville, AL- The Tennessee Valley Vipers will hold their second tryout for the 2008 arenafootball2 season on January 12th at 10:00am in the South Hall of the Von Braun Center. The tryouts will be conducted by Vipers head coach Dean Cokinos and his staff. "We had great success in our first tryout in which we signed two players to a contract for the 2008 season and we will also invite numerous players back for a private workout. For this next tryout we hope to find one or two more candidates for our team as well as sign a kicker to come into camp and compete for a starting job," said Cokinos.
The tryouts will consist of the 40-yard dash, short shuttle, long-jump, and individual drills. There will also be a tryout for kickers after the conclusion of the position player tryouts. Those who are interested should e-mail Andy Haskell at ahaskell@vipersaf2.com for a registration form. The registration fee is $40 prior to January 12th and $50 on the day of the tryouts. Registration on the day of the tryouts will begin at 10:00am and the tryouts will begin shortly after all have registered and signed a waiver form.
The Vipers season begins March 29th at the Von Braun Center against the South Georgia Wildcats. Season ticket are now available and can be purchased by coming by the Vipers office in the VBC or by calling the Vipers at 256-428-HISS (4477).
