
Vipers Re-Sign Canadian Veteran

The Calgary Vipers Baseball Club announces the signing of pitcher Reggie Rivard to a 2010 Golden Baseball League contract. The hard throwing right hander from Fort McMurray, Alberta rejoins the Vipers for a third straight season after working for the Fort McMurray Baseball Association this spring. This year will mark the 11th professional season for the former "AAA" farmhand of the Texas Rangers and Milwaukee Brewers. The 32-year-old joined the Snakes in 2008 after playing three seasons for Edmonton where he was born.
Calgary welcomes the Edmonton Capitals for a first-place showdown on Friday July 23rd at 7:05 PM MDT, Saturday July 24th and Sunday July 25th at 1:35 PM MDT, and Monday July 26th at 7:05 PM MDT for Paint the Park Pink weekend. On Saturday the Vipers will also host "Saskatchewan Shines! Rider Day at the Park".

On Tuesday August 3rd and Wednesday August 4th both days from 9:00 AM till 12:00 PM MDT children ages 8-14 can be a part of the Calgary Vipers roster. During the two clinics children will receive instruction from professional coaches and veteran players as they play a live game at Foothills Stadium.
