Vince Goldsberry signs with the Sauk Valley Predators

February 1, 2012 - Premier Basketball League (PBL)
Sauk Valley Predators News Release

The Sauk Valley Predators announce a new player to their organization, 6'0 170 lb. Vince Goldsberry, a point guard from Coppin State University.

Vince played at St. Elizabeth High School in Wilmington, Delaware and was all-state, averaging a little more than 25 points per game for the Vikings. After high school, Vince signed to play college ball at Coppin State University. He played 126 games during his four seasons including 37 his freshman year alone. This past summer he played in the Las Vegas Eurobasket summer league for Union Dublin and later in Macedonia for KK Lirija Skopje.

Most recently Vince was selected to play on the Charleston Gunners, a PBL team from its Eastern Division. Due to the Gunners' organization's failure to follow the league's guidelines and standards, the PBL released them from its 2012 regular season schedule. A PBL dispersal draft was immediately conducted, where the Predators organization drafted Vince Goldsberry.

"When we heard the Charleston team was released, we were immediately drawn to Vince and felt that adding his skills to our team would continue helping the Predators succeed", stated Brad Grenoble, owner and GM of the Sauk Valley Predators. "We've been fortunate so far this season to have a great record and the skill level that these young men have is simply amazing and so fun to watch," continued Grenoble.

The Sauk Valley Predators' next game is away on Friday night vs. the Chicago Muscle. Individual and season tickets can be purchased online at www.saukvalleypredators.com. You can also view the other Predator players and full schedule. All Predators fans that travel to this away game vs. the Chicago Muscle will receive half off of general admission tickets.

The Predators are part of the Premier Basketball League's Central Division along with the following teams; Chicago Muscle, Central Illinois Drive, Indiana Diesels and the St. Louis Phoenix. The PBL's Eastern Division includes the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Steamers, Dayton Air Strikers and the Rochester RazorSharks. For more information please visit www.thePBL.com.
