Sauk Valley Predators Sign Jereme Richmond

Jereme Richmond, a 6'7 small forward from Waukegan, IL joins the Sauk Valley Predators after a decorated high school and college career. Jereme is the son of Bill and Kim Richmond.
Jereme attended Waukegan High School where he was the two time Chicago Sun Times "Player of the Year" and won the prestigious Illinois' "Mr. Basketball" award. Jereme led Waukegan to the Illinois Class 4A final four in his junior and senior seasons, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.
After his senior season Jereme participated in the McDonalds All-American game and the McDonalds All-American dunk contest. Jereme also competed internationally for the gold medal winning USA 18U team coached by Jeff Capel, where he was one of the team's leading scorers and rebounders.
In his one season at the University of Illinois, Jereme averaged 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists per game in 22.2 minutes. His best game of the season came in a 3 point loss to #1 ranked Ohio State, where he finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. "I'm excited for this opportunity to play for Coach Keathley and his fast paced offense", stated Jereme. "The Predators are a team on the rise and this year it's championship or bust!"
The Sauk Valley Predators will host the St. Louis Phoenix this Saturday night at the Homer Musgrove Fieldhouse in Sterling, IL at 6:30 p.m. Individual and season tickets can be purchased online at www.saukvalleypredators.com or at the door for each game. The Predators are part of the Premier Basketball League's Central Division along with the following teams; Chicago Muscle, Central Illinois Drive, Indiana Diesels and the St. Louis Phoenix.
