Mike was in the top 20 in two categories in the NCAA (scoring and 3 point percentage). He was also 16th in the nation in scoring at 20.2 ppg and from the 3-point land. Mike's strengths are his shooting ability, his understanding of the game and his athletic ability. He had huge games his last year for the 12-9 Eastern Kentucky team. He scored 33 points and 9 rebounds vs. Cevenant, 31 points and 5 rebounds vs. Tennessee State. His double-double was against Tennessee-Martin where he scored 24 points with 11 rebounds.

He was recruited by UNLV, Washington State, many local colleges and of course Eastern Kentucky. Mike made a wise choice in selecting a school that could best showcase his talent and prepare him for the next level at Eastern Kentucky.
At Eastern Kentucky Mike averaged 20.4 points per game, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 steals while shooting 49% from the 3-point line. He is an excellent shooter who has been productive throughout his career.
