
Victor DeGrate, Jr. Returns to Talons for Three More Years

SAN ANTONIO (November 2, 2012) - Texas native, defensive lineman, Victor DeGrate, Jr. is returning to the San Antonio Talons through the 2015 season.
"Having Victor return to San Antonio is an important piece of our overall defensive strategy," said Executive Vice President Keith Recine. "His pass rushing abilities make our players in the defensive secondary much more effective. Our defense is a force to contend with in the National Conference. With DeGrate, Shaw and Crocker, we feel we have brought back the core of our defense which ranked at the top of almost all AFL categories."
DeGrate, (6-4, 260, Oklahoma) was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He joined the Talons for their inaugural season in 2012 and earned a First-Team All Arena honors after recording a League-high six forced fumbles along with an impressive 9.5 sacks.
The San Antonio Talons are entering into their second season in the Arena Football League (AFL). The team was moved to San Antonio from Tulsa, OK in 2012 and won the AFL's Central Division title, as well as hosted their first AFL playoff game in the 2012 season.
