Memphis Xplorers News Release

Southaven, MS-The af2 league office has assigned OS Terrance Quattlebaum to the Memphis Xplorers.

Quattlebaum has af2 experience with three different teams. In 2002 he played for the New Haven Ninjas for eight games, where he caught 45 passes for 494 yards and ten touchdowns. He split time with the Charleston Swamp Foxes and the Mohegan Wolves in 2003. In 2003 Quattlebaum caught 41 passes for 488 yards and seven touchdowns.

Quattlebaum also has kick return experience. With the Ninjas he had 30 returns for an average of 19.4 yards, and three touchdowns. In 2003 Quattlebaum returned 14 kicks for a 17.07 average.

"Terrance Quattlebaum is an explosive offensive player who ran a 4.3 (40-yard dash) for the Buffalo Bills," stated Xplorers Head Coach Danton Barto. "He brings speed to an already fast receiving core. We are looking for big things from him."

Xplorers Director of Player Personnel Chris Bauer added his thoughts on the latest assignment. "Q (Quattlebaum) has been extremely productive over his af2 career despite a few broken up seasons with various teams. He grades well in all the critical elements of the game. He simply needs a platform with which to be productive, and I believe he will find that here."

The Xplorers were ten game winners in their 2004 playoff season. For season ticket information call 662-393-3761. Memphis Xplorers Arena Football! Xciting! Xhilirating! Xtreme! Football!
