Veteran Forward Patrick Thompson Returns for the 2017-2018 Season

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Silver Knights continue to bolster this season's squad as Patrick Thompson returns to Central New York.
"Patrick is a dynamic player who brings speed, a great left foot and experience to our team," said Silver Knights General Manager Tommy Tanner. "I am excited to see him have an opportunity this year to score a lot of goals for us."
Thompson played in 19 games last year, finishing the 2016-2017 season with four goals and three assists.
"I am looking forward to returning for my second season after getting accustomed to the team last year. With Ryan [Hall] being the head coach, we can pick up right where we left off," Thompson said. "I hope we can put all the pieces of the puzzle together."
Thompson has previously played for the Pennsylvania Roar of the old Major Indoor Soccer League before playing two seasons for the Harrisburg Heat of the Major Arena Soccer League. Before coming to Syracuse, Thompson always loved playing at the Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
"Away games at Syracuse were always one of my favorite trips," he said. "Getting to play in the arena in front of the Syracuse fans was always a pleasure."
Thompson won't get his chance to play in front of the Syracuse faithful until November 10th, when the Ontario Fury visit the Oncenter War Memorial Arena for the Silver Knights home opener.
