Dayton Bombers News Release

July 11, 2007

Dayton, OH- Dayton Bombers General Manager Don MacAdam announced today that the team has agreed to terms with veteran defenseman Greg Labenski. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 29-year-old captain of the 2006-2007 American Conference Champions tallied 42 points (5G, 37A) in 71 regular season games with 101 PIM. Labenski also had 10 points (2G, 8A) in 22 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

"I'm looking forward to another season," said the 6'1", 199-pound Labenski. "Last year was great, but hopefully we'll finish with even better results this time."

Labenski returned to the Bombers in 2006 after a five-year hiatus, in which he split time in the UHL, ECHL and American Hockey League. During his 2000-2001 Bombers campaign, Labenski played in 71 regular season games and registered 26 points on eight goals and 18 assists.

Prior to rejoining the Bombers, the Welland, Ontario, Canada, native won the 2005-2006 Colonial Cup with the Kalamazoo Wings of the UHL. And that victory has only made Labenski hungry for more.

"It's my goal to win a Kelly Cup," Labenski said. "I want to win a championship in Dayton."

The Bombers' Opening Night Extravaganza is Saturday, October 20, against the rival Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:00 p.m. at the Ervin J. Nutter Center. Group tickets for Opening Night are on sale now by calling 775-4747.

Full and partial season ticket packages for the Bombers' 2007-08 campaign are also on sale, starting as low as $99! Individual game tickets will go on sale on September 1. For more information, please contact the Bombers at (937) 775-4747 or visit www.daytonbombers.com.

The Dayton Bombers are the proud "AA" affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets.
