Venom Football/Cheerleading Camps Set

Amarillo, TX 4/20/11 - The Amarillo Venom will be having both their football and cheerleading camps on Saturday, May 14th. The football camp will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the cheerleading camp will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Both camps will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center, located at 401 S. Buchanan.
Venom football players as well as the Venom coaching staff will run the football camp that will teach students the fundamental skills of playing football. The camp will cost $35 and will include a camp T-shirt and two tickets to the Venom's game that night against the Bricktown Brawlers where campers will participate in various pregame activities. The camp is open to children ages 6-14 and participants will be separated into age appropriate groups.
"This is an annual event that our staff and players really look forward to," said Joe Morgado, the Venom's General Manager.
The cheerleading camp will follow the football camp and will be run by the Venom Vixens. The cheerleading camp will cost $35 and will include pompoms, a camp T-shirt, and two tickets to the Venom's game that night against the Bricktown Brawlers where campers will perform during the game. The camp is open to ages 4-17 and participants will be separated into age appropriate groups.
"It's always entertaining to watch the campers perform with the Venom Vixens during the game," said Morgado.
