Vero Beach Devil Rays News Release
(Vero Beach, FL) - The Vero Beach Dodgers announced today that they plan to make up last Saturday's rained out fireworks night if the club qualifies for the playoffs.
The Dodgers enter play Monday night with a 4.5 game lead on second place Palm Beach with 15 games to play and a magic number of 11. If the club holds on to its lead and wins the second half East Division title, they will host a playoff game against the Daytona Cubs on September 7th, a game that would feature the post-game fireworks extravaganza.
Fans with ticket stubs who attended Saturday night's game, which was suspended due to rain after a half of an inning, can redeem their stub for any of the four remaining regular season home games. Press-Journal back-to-school free tickets stubs will not be accepted.
The Dodgers are in action tonight in Port St. Lucie, taking on the St. Lucie Mets in a double-header starting at 5:00 PM.
