Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants are happy to announce that Dan Elliott has been named the team's new Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting. Dan will begin his duties on Monday, August 23. In the role, Dan will become the new play-by-play voice of the Giants on AM650 All-Time Favourites, and will also manage the media relations for the club. His most recent activity has been as a sports reporter on Global BC and as the studio host of WHL broadcasts on Shaw TV.

"We're really happy Dan has decided to join our team" says Giants' Majority Owner and Governor Ron Toigo. "With his in-depth knowledge of the Western Hockey League and the local media market we believe he'll be a great addition to our organization. And we know he will fit in well with our existing office group."

Adds Elliott, "I'm really excited for this opportunity. It will be a great new challenge for me, and I look forward to working with such a first-class organization."

The Giants will begin their 10th Anniversary Season on Friday, September 24 with a home match-up against the Chilliwack Bruins. Training Camp is slated to begin in less than two week's time, on Friday, August 27 at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
